LC Designs January Digi Challenge 2016

Happy New Year to you and I hope you have recovered from your celebrations and are ready for the LC Designs (new name for Little Claire) January digi stamp challenge. The theme is 3,2,1 and I had to ask around because I didn't know what this meant but it is a card made with 3 of one thing 2 of another and finally 1 thing. My card has 3 flowers, 2 layers of patterned paper and 1 image topper, and isn't it a lovely image.

This is the lovely prize you could win if you enter the competition.........

what you will need:

LC Designs dinky text A Little Bird Told Me

Mat and layer the Falling Daisies green paper onto pink paper.
Stick the papers onto the base card (the Falling Daisies paper is darker at one end and this is to be placed at the bottom of the card).

Cut a piece of the Nitwit Perfect Pair pink checked paper to 4" x 4", mat and layer the paper onto pink paper and stick onto the base card at a jaunty angle.

Bring the Tulip Bunny into your graphics program and re size so that the tip of the bunny's whiskers across to the bunnys paw measures 1 1/2".
Print the image onto good quality white card.
Cut the image down to size (1 1/2" x 3") and colour in.
Cut a piece of white voile lager than the image topper, colour using Tim Holts Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and allow to dry.
Stick the voile onto the back of the topper in a tatty manner.
Stick the voile/topper combo onto the base card at a jaunty angle.

Using a scrap piece of the Nitwit Pastel Dreams pink crosses paper and the Chloe 3 petal flower cut out 6 shapes.
Tint the edge of the petals using Tim Holts Picked Raspberry Distress ink.
Shape the petals using a cocktail stick or a pokey tool and glue one layer of petals onto another to make 3 flowers.
Using the Chloe 5 petal flower and green card scraps cut out 3 flowers.
Stick the 3 green flowers onto the centre of the 3 pink flowers.
Using the small hole punch and a small scrap of white card punch out 3 dots, stick the dots to the centre of the 3 flowers.
Stick the flowers onto the card.

Using the First Edition circle tag and a scrap of white card cut out the tag.
Using a black Versa Fine ink pad and the LC Designs dinky text stamp the sentiment With Love x onto the centre of the tag.
Pop the flower out from the tag and colour it using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.
Colour the tag using Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and using tape stick the flower back onto the tag.
Stick the tag onto the card.
Cut the pink check voile ribbon slightly longer than needed and tie a knot at the centre.
Cut the ribbon to size by making fish tails at the ends.
Stick the ribbon to the card.

    1. Thank you Karen, you're very kind. Its the first time I've used voile like this and I thought I would have problems gluing it but it wasn't so bad. I think I will use this little bunny for a Valentines card, its so cute.
      Love Alli Xx

  3. I just found your blog from the facebook link!
Very pretty card, pink and green is my favourite colour combination and I like the voile, I use tulle a lot in a similar way :)

  4. Thank you Anne, I love the colours too but I seem to set out thinking blue and orange and then it turns out green and pink. Xx
