Dinkie Butterflies & Cat

Hello it`s my turn to do a LC Designs blog project and I was really glad to shut myself away in my warm craft room on a very cold day to make this card. I have been wanting to use these Splodge papers ever since I received them, and together with the sweet Butterfly Cat Dinkies stamp this card was the result.

what you will need:
LC Designs Dinkies Butterfly Cat stamp
LC Designs Dinkies test To Lovely You
LC Designs Dinkies Text Happy Birthday
LC Designs Splodge paper pack - pink & yellow
Xcut 6" x 6" hearts embossing folder
6" x 6" white base card
good quality white card
white card to stamp onto
black Verrsa Fine ink pad
Peacock green/blue paper
colouring in implements
lilac pearl paper scraps
Peacock green/blue 3 1/2cm organza ribbon
small butterfly Tonic boot punch
larger butterfly punch

Cut a piece of card to the size of the embossing folder.
Emboss the card using the Xcut hearts embossing folder.
Cut the embossed card to 13.7mm x 13.7cm.
Mat and layer the card onto the Peacock green/blue paper.
Stick the paper/embossed card onto the white base card.

Cut the pink and yellow LC Designs splodge paper to 9.3cm x 9.3cm.
Mat and layer the splodge paper onto Peacock green/blue paper.
Stick the splodge paper combo onto the base card making sure that the darker pink colour is to the right hand side.

Using the LC Designs Dinkies Butterfly Cat stamp and the black Versa Fine ink pad stamp the image onto good quality card.
Colour the image.
Make the tag 4.8cm x 9.7cm.
Stick the tag onto the card at a jaunty angle.

Make a bow using the Peacock green/blue organza ribbon and stick it to the top of the tag.

sing the black Versa Fine ink pad and the LC Designs Dinkies Text stamp the sentiments "To Lovely You" and "Happy Birthday" stamp the sentiments onto white card.
Cut the text to size and stick onto the base card.

Using the Tonic small butterfly boot punch cut out 2 Peacock green/blue butterflies, 2 x lilac butterflies and stick onto the tag.
Cut 1 small and 1 larger butterfly from white card.
Stick the two butterflies onto the darker colour on the right hand side of the splodge paper.

A Card for Helen



Its time for the LC Designs January Stamp Challenge and the theme is add bunting which is always a good way to jazz up a project. I made this card with my old school friend Helen in mind and her name is on the bunting but you should put your friends name on the bunting, or leave it blank.

what you will need:
LC Designs Wavy Beach Huts stamp
LC Designs dinky text Sending Smiles
LC Designs Nice `n` Stripey Paper Pack
6" x 6" base card
pink paper
good quality white card
Crafts Too dotty embossing folder
die cutting machine
black Versa Fine ink pad
Hobbycraft clear stamp alphabet
small bunting cutting die
die cutting machine
pink, green and yellow card scraps
green bakers twine
2 small pegs
small heart punch

Cover the base card with pink paper.
Cut the white card to 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and using the Crafts Too embossing folder emboss the right hand side of the card.
Stick the embossed card onto the base card.

Cut a piece of the yellow Nice `n` Stripey paper to 5 7/16" x 2 1/2" and mat and layer onto the pink paper. Stick the papers onto the card.

Using the LC Wavy Beach Huts stamp and black Versa Fine ink pad stamp the image onto good quality white card.
Cut the image topper to 4 7/16" x 3 1/2" and colour in.
Mat and layer the image topper onto pink paper and stick onto the base card at a jaunty angle.

Using the LC Designs Have a beautiful day text and the black Versa Fine ink pad stamp the text onto white card, cut the text to size and mat and layer onto pink paper.
Stick the text onto the card at a jaunty angle.

Using the coloured scraps of card and the bunting die cut out 7 pieces of bunting.
Using the Hobbycraft lower case alphabet stamp the letters for your chosen name onto the bunting.
Attach the bunting onto the green bakers twine and stick onto the card.
Stick the pegs onto the card and nip the bakers twine between.
Cut the bakers twine to the required size and stick the ends down onto the card.
Colour the top of the pegs green.
Punch 2 hearts from white card and stick to the 2 end pieces of bunting.

LC Designs January Digi Challenge 2016



Happy New Year to you and I hope you have recovered from your celebrations and are ready for the LC Designs (new name for Little Claire) January digi stamp challenge. The theme is 3,2,1 and I had to ask around because I didn't know what this meant but it is a card made with 3 of one thing 2 of another and finally 1 thing. My card has 3 flowers, 2 layers of patterned paper and 1 image topper, and isn't it a lovely image.

what you will need:

good quality white card to print onto
First Edition tag dies
Chloe 3 petal flower die
Chloe 5 petal flower die
die cutting machine
Nitwit Perfect Pair 8" x 8" paper pad - pink check paper
Nitwit Pastel Dreams 8" x 8" paper pad - pink crosses paper
white voile
1 1/2" pink check voile ribbon
Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters Distress Ink
black Versa Fine ink pad
Cut n Dry foam
small hole punch

Mat and layer the Falling Daisies green paper onto pink paper.
Stick the papers onto the base card (the Falling Daisies paper is darker at one end and this is to be placed at the bottom of the card).

Cut a piece of the Nitwit Perfect Pair pink checked paper to 4" x 4", mat and layer the paper onto pink paper and stick onto the base card at a jaunty angle.

Bring the Tulip Bunny into your graphics program and re size so that the tip of the bunny's whiskers across to the bunnys paw measures 1 1/2".
Print the image onto good quality white card.
Cut the image down to size (1 1/2" x 3") and colour in.
Cut a piece of white voile lager than the image topper, colour using Tim Holts Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and allow to dry.
Stick the voile onto the back of the topper in a tatty manner.
Stick the voile/topper combo onto the base card at a jaunty angle.

Using a scrap piece of the Nitwit Pastel Dreams pink crosses paper and the Chloe 3 petal flower cut out 6 shapes.
Tint the edge of the petals using Tim Holts Picked Raspberry Distress ink.
Shape the petals using a cocktail stick or a pokey tool and glue one layer of petals onto another to make 3 flowers.
Using the Chloe 5 petal flower and green card scraps cut out 3 flowers.
Stick the 3 green flowers onto the centre of the 3 pink flowers.
Using the small hole punch and a small scrap of white card punch out 3 dots, stick the dots to the centre of the 3 flowers.
Stick the flowers onto the card.

Using the First Edition circle tag and a scrap of white card cut out the tag.
Using a black Versa Fine ink pad and the LC Designs dinky text stamp the sentiment With Love x onto the centre of the tag.
Pop the flower out from the tag and colour it using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.
Colour the tag using Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and using tape stick the flower back onto the tag.
Stick the tag onto the card.
Cut the pink check voile ribbon slightly longer than needed and tie a knot at the centre.
Cut the ribbon to size by making fish tails at the ends.
Stick the ribbon to the card.
