Safe Trip Card

Today is the launch of the Little Claire July digi stamp challenge and this months theme is Holiday. I have made this card as part of the design team and hope it makes someone think "I could do that" and then enter the competition. The prizes for this month are

FIVE LITTLE CLAIRE DIGI-STAMPS OF CHOICE

what you will need:
6" x 4" white base card
pink card
good quality mat print paper
Tattered Lace Paper Collections Vol 2
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers distress ink & Cut n Dry
Tonic Dottie Border punch
Tonic flower boot punch
small hole punch
bunting die
die cutting machine
yellow card from stash
colouring-in implements
pink and white bakers twine
Glamour dust glitter
yellow satin ribbon
Sekura silver sparkle pen
wet glue and small paint brush

Cut a piece of pink card to mat and layer onto the white base card and stick into place.

Using the Tattered Lace Paper Collections Vol 2 disc print off Issue 9, design 51 paper onto good quality mat paper.
Cut the paper to mat and layer onto the pink paper but do not stick down.
Colour the edges of the printed paper with the Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers distress ink and Cut n Dry.
Stick the patterned paper onto the pink paper base.

Cut a piece of pink card to 14cm x 5.13cm.
Using the Tonic Dottie Border punch and starting at what will be the left side of the card punch the design along the top of the card.
Draw a pencil line from the middle of the first punched pattern to the bottom of the card and this will be a guide as to where to set the punch for the pattern along the bottom of the card.
Line up the pencil mark with the corresponding hole in the punch (turn the punch over so you can see the line through the punch) and punch all along the bottom of the card.
Place the pink punched card onto the base card and mark on the right hand side where it needs trimming and trim.

In your graphics program open the digi Car and Caravan stamp and re size to 7cm from the front of the car to the rear of the caravan. At this stage you could print the image and stamp your sentiment later or you could add a sentiment using your graphics program. My graphics program is Serif Craft Artist which comes with pre-set sentiments and the sentiment I have used is from the bon voyage sentiments and is re sized to 5 1/2cm. Place the sentiment just in front of the car.
Print the image onto good quality mat print paper.
If you are hand stamping your sentiment do it at this stage.

Cut the image/sentiment to mat and layer onto the pink punched card but do not stick into place.
Colour the image using the colouring-in implements of your choice.
Using the fine tip black pen continue the line under the image so that it meets up with the sentiment.
Draw a line under the car and caravan to accent the existing black line using the Secura silver sparkle pen.

Stick the image onto the pink punched card and then stick the whole thing onto the base card.

Using the small flower Tonic boot punch make 6 flowers from the pink card.
Glitter the flowers using the Glamour Dust glitter and leave to dry.
Make 6 dots from the yellow card from your stash and make them bevelled by using a ball tool or the end of a paintbrush.
Stick the dots in the centre of the flowers.
Stick the flowers onto the card.

Using the bunting die and your die cutting machine make 3 pieces of bunting with the yellow card from your stash.
Using the Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers distress ink and the cut n Dry tint the lower edges of the bunting.
Paint some wet glue along the lower edges of the bunting and glitter using the Glamour Dust then allow to dry.
Using the hole punch make 3 dots from the printed patterned paper and bevel the dots.
Stick the dots to the bunting.
Cut a piece of pink and white bakers twine and glue it to the card ready for the bunting to hang from it (remember to allow the bakers twine to hang over the edge of the card).
Stick the bunting into place along the bakers twine.

Tie a bow using the yellow satin ribbon and stick into place.

Using the hole punch make 2 dots from the pink card and bevel the dots.
Stick the dots onto the image topper.
