Row of Robins Christmas Card
Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza with my sisters and my niece and what a great time we all had. I saw lots of new products from my favourite craft people and got so many ideas for future cards from their displays. I was really good and didn't spend as much as I normally do but I did indulge myself when I got to the Little Claire stand. I couldn't resist this "row of robins" dinky stamp from Little Claire and then I couldn't wait to use it once I got back home. I think I will be making many cards and tags with it before Christmas comes but here is the first.
I`ll be saving my pennies for the next GNPE show (probably in October) and looking forward to another lovely day with my family.

March Digi Inspiration
This months theme for the Little Claire digi stamp challenge is "shaped cards" and my contribution is a retirement card for Jim who I work with and he is lucky enough to be retiring later this month. The digi challenge is open to anyone and the prizes are five great digi stamps of your choice, so have a go and you could be the winner.
Retirement Card
What you will need:
Little Claire Deckchair Man digi stamp
Good quality printer paper/card
Nitwit papers One Birdie Lane
Tattered Lace Essentials Circles dies
die cutting machine
6" x 6" base card
Tim Holtz distress ink - Barn Door, Crushed Olive
bunting die
red bakers twine
flower & leaf embellishments
sentiment
Tonic butterfly boot punch
yellow, green and orange card from your stash
Glamour Dust glitter
Cut the base card so it measures 7cm from the fold down.
Cut the orange card to mat and layer on the base card and stick into place.
Using the Nit Wit paper pad cut the spotted paper to mat and layer onto the orange card already stuck onto the base card, and stick into position.
In your graphics program open the deckchair man digi stamp and re size to 7.5cm from side to side.
Using the Serif Craft Artist make the sentiment 3.5cm wide and frame it with a frame from the Vintage Paraphernalia digi kit.
Print the images onto good quality paper (I use 280gsm card from Hobbycraft).
Place the printed image of the deckchair man within the Tattered Lace circle die No 11 and run it through the die cutting machine.
Colour the image and leave to dry.
Using the Tattered Lace circle die No 13 cut the orange flower Nit Wit paper.
Cut a circle of card using the Tattered Lace die No 13.
Stick the orange paper onto the card and darken the edges with the Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink.
Stick the coloured printed image of the deckchair man onto the orange paper circle (the image circle should be off set towards the bottom right of the lager orange circle).
Stick the circle topper to the base card about 12mm up from the bottom of the base card and to the right of the base card.
Using the green card from your stash cut out the bunting.
String the bunting onto the bakers twine.
Darken the edges of the bunting using the Tim Holtz Crushed Olive distress ink.
I used 14pt Undercurrent lettering in my Serif Craft Artist graphics program to create the letters to stick onto the bunting. Make sure that the letters have plenty of space between them and then print out onto copy paper.
Cut the letters out and stick onto the bunting
Stick the bunting onto the card.
Punch two butterflies from the yellow card and colour the middle with Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink and then glitter the centre section with Glamour Dust glitter.
When dry stick the butterflies to the ends of the bunting.
Cut out the sentiment and colour around the edges with the Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink.
Stick the sentiment onto the card using foam pads.
Stick flowers and leaves on the bottom of the topper (I die cut the flowers from the yellow card which I used for the butterflies and coloured the middles of the flowers with Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink. I then cut circles from the green card that I used for the bunting and stuck it onto the centre of the flowers and then I glittered the green flower centres with the Glamour Dust glitter).
